I have involved in the IT industry from the latter half of the 1990s and have worked to improve the QCD of the manufacturing industry by making full use of computers, software, education and consulting.
For example, we reduced the lead time of product development from 1 year to 9 months by reducing design change and manual rework, and reduced manufacturing cost by tens of millions of yen. I still believe that in the field of manufacturing in Japan we could acquire high position in the world by accumulating my daily efforts.
However, what is the current situation? As a representative of the "factory in the world", China is the first to be compared, and emerging countries , which are said to be BRICS, are also enhancing their technological capabilities.
It goes without saying that the status of Japan, is gradually being threatened ,developed as a technology-intensive nation and intellectual property , by the development of manufacturing . The population declines, waves of a declining birthrate and aging population are sweeping as if to hunt down there. As represented by departure from the science and engineering department of young people, it may be inevitable for Japanese manufacturing companies to enter overseas due to labor shortage and cheap labor costs, but domestic manufacturing has become hollow, It seems like it will keep on declining.

As a measure to increase the added value of "manufacturing" that can be said as a Japanese specialty, we are planning to revitalize senior technology transfer. There are a lot of seniors who have high skills but can not make full use of their opportunities for their success. By conveying their knowledge and experience, we want to raise the competitiveness of our customers, accelerate the growth of young generation technicians, and we will continue to develop and contribute to society.
